Congratulations! Makorokoto! Amhlope!
The Minister of Industry and Commerce, Hon. N. M. Ndhlovu launched Trade Measures uniforms and a fleet of cars for inspectors to improve their efficiency and visibility in executing their mandate as espoused in the Trade Measures Act (Chapter 14:23)
Hon. Minister Ndhlovu said “as part of this drive, today we are excited to launch the new set of regalia that will identify our Trade Measures inspectors to all and sundry. This new brand will help to enhance their visibility and create an increased sense of pride for the team and the citizenry in general as we remind each other of the dedicated team that we have in place to fight against illicit trading practices that are bent on fleecing consumers.”
The Deputy Chief Secretary, Office of the President and Cabinet, Mr W. L. Manungo graced the launch of Trade Measures uniforms and vehicles for inspectors. He underscored “…errant behaviour by some unprincipled businesspersons cannot go unchallenged and must be stopped before the practice becomes entrenched into our business practices and society ”
The event attracted participation from different Government entities, Agencies and Grant Aided Institutions under the Ministry, as well as the Private Sector.
